I was part of a team compiled by Gensler‘s Russell Banks (now with Applied Storytelling) to help with an ambitious effort to rebrand the city of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.  As part of the multi-tiered project I was asked to help tell the narrative of Calgary’s diverse citizens through portraits and photofilms of prominent Calgarians including Bonnie Dupont of Enbridge, George Brookman of the Calgary Stampede, and the artistic director of the Ablerta Ballet (and choreographer of the Winter Olympics opening ceremony) Jean Grand-Maitre.

In the process, I grew to appreciate Calgary’s dynamism and infectious “unstoppable” spirit.  The photofilms are featured on the HUMUNCULUS project page.
